COVID-19 Policy

An important part of our approach at Renewable Connections is to engage effectively with the local communities and stakeholders who provide valuable feedback during the development of our solar projects.

As the UK eases restrictions related to COVID-19 (to Stage 4 in England, Protection Level 0 in Scotland and Alert Level 1 in Wales), the Government has advised that it is up to individuals and businesses to be cautious and manage risks appropriately. This includes minimising the number, proximity and duration of social contacts where possible.

In line with this guidance and to protect our colleagues who have not yet been fully vaccinated and/or have vulnerable and shielding family members, we will continue to hold all community meetings and events virtually.

Having used virtual forms of consultation throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we have experienced high levels of engagement, including from those who do not have access to internet facilities, as we have  provided alternative means to participate in community consultations, for example via telephone and post.

This policy will be reviewed continually in line with Government guidance and the personal circumstances of Renewable Connections colleagues.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.
